Hunter Murphy is an 11-year-old who loves hockey. The captain of his Littleton Hawks fan and a big Colorado Avalanche fan, hockey is one of Hunter’s favorite things.
Recently, Hunter was diagnosed with osteosarcoma cancer in his knee. He has been undergoing chemo and is having surgery to have the tumor and bone removed from his leg. Hunter is having a metal rod put in his leg but if that doesn’t work, he is going to need amputation. Either way, Hunter has been told that he isn’t going to be able to play hockey again.
